Located at 444 Sherbourne Street, this new K-8 school replaced two prewar era brick buildings on the site. With a capacity of 720 pupil places the school includes a double gymnasium, library with computer media centre and a dedicated music room. A central three-storey light well illuminates generously sized circulation corridors. Underground parking preserves maximum site area for play. Spanning mid-block between two streets with a complex urban context, the project included community consultation and a comprehensive site plan application process with the City of Toronto.
